VICTORY FOR ABBOTT NICHOLSON ATTORNEYS,
JOHN R. MCGLINCHEY AND HEIDI E. WARREN,
IN THE 18TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT IN A WRONGFUL DISCHARGE LAWSUIT

John R. McGlinchey and Heidi E. Warren of the law firm Abbott Nicholson, P.C. had a significant victory in the 18th Judicial Circuit Court in Bay County.

In March, 2013, Bay County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Schmidt dismissed an employment discrimination lawsuit filed against Bay County, Bay County Sheriff John Miller, Jail Captain Troy Stuart and Lt. Troy Cunningham. The lawsuit had been filed by a former deputy of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office who claimed he was terminated from his employment with the Sheriff’s Office in violation of Michigan’s Persons With Disabilities Civil Rights Act and Veteran’s Preference Act. Attorneys John R. McGlinchey and Heidi E. Warren successfully defended Bay County, Bay County Sheriff John Miller, Jail Captain Troy Stuart and Lt. Troy Cunningham in this action.
