Our Attorneys

Saulius Polteraitis is an attorney at Abbott Nicholson specializing in medical malpractice defense. Mr. Polteraitis has worked with various hospital systems and physicians’ groups throughout the State of Michigan defending medical malpractice claims. His past experience also includes working at various personal injury firms, providing him with a unique perspective in his litigation practice.  He has also represented clients in first and third-party no-fault cases, products liability, premises liability, employment and general negligence matters. He has argued in courts across the state and has also successfully argued matters before the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Mr. Polteraitis earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2005 where he served as Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2005 and he is admitted in the federal bar for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.

Mr. Polteraitis was recently elected to serve as President-Elect of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM). He is scheduled to serve as president during the July 2023 – July 2024 term. He is also a former president of the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit.

Saulius is married with three children and lives in Milford.
