Mr. Weller, who joined the firm in 2003, is co-chair of Abbott Nicholson’s Motor Vehicle Dealer Practice Group. He is general counsel for the North American International Auto Show, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, and the Metro Detroit Cadillac Dealers Association.

He was one of five new members elected to the NADC’s 24-person board of directors during the organization’s 11th Annual Member Conference in Laguna Beach, Calif., in late April. Mr. Weller will serve a three-year term.

The NADC was formed by and for lawyers who work in the unique dealer environment. Membership is open to practicing attorneys who serve the needs of auto, truck, motorcycle, boat, motor home and all-terrain vehicle dealers. Executives of the trade associations that represent dealers are eligible for associate membership.

The NADC provides a forum for members to exchange information on how to best represent dealer interests with respect to manufacturer franchise issues, regulatory compliance, lemon laws, vehicle finance, insurance laws, tax laws, buy-sell agreements, employment laws, and many other issues.
