John R. McGlinchey has been representing Michigan employers in both the private and public sectors for twenty five years. In the public sector he has represented cities, townships and counties in employment and municipal law matters.
Mr. McGlinchey defends Michigan employers in state and federal courts, the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, Michigan Dept. of Civil Rights, EEOC, and the Michigan Unemployment Agency. Mr. McGlinchey develops
and reviews personnel policies and employer handbooks, working closely with human relations personnel.
Mr. McGlinchey has handled numerous grievances/arbitrations under labor contracts brought by a union. He also negotiates labor contracts and litigates labor contracts in Act 312 Arbitration.
He is admitted to practice in Michigan State courts, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
John R. McGlinchey received his A.B., from Harvard University in 1980, and J.D. from Detroit College of Law in 1986 (now Michigan State University School of Law).
